About The Cure MAPT FTD Digital Cabinet Database

Cure MAPT FTD is a global community of families and advocates working together to accelerate research and drive progress toward effective treatments for Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) caused by MAPT genetic mutations.

Our mission is to raise awareness, support families affected by MAPT FTD, and help researchers better understand the disease so that new therapies and clinical trials can move forward faster.

Why this database exists

Research into MAPT-related FTD requires long-term collaboration between families, clinicians, and scientists. By sharing experiences and health information through this database, participants help researchers better understand the disease and identify opportunities for new treatments.

The database allows families around the world to contribute directly to research efforts, helping scientists learn how MAPT FTD develops, how it affects people over time, and how treatments might be developed to slow or prevent it.

Our goals
  • Accelerate research

Support scientific studies that deepen understanding of MAPT-related Frontotemporal Dementia.

  • Connect families

Build a global network of families and caregivers navigating MAPT FTD.

  • Advance clinical trials

Help researchers design studies and trials that move new therapies forward.

  • Ensure patient voices are heard

Center the experiences of individuals and families affected by MAPT FTD.

Privacy and participant control

Protecting participant privacy is central to how this database operates. Information is stored securely with strict access controls and privacy safeguards designed to protect personal data.

Participants remain in control of their information. You may update your data, review consent choices, and decide whether to participate in future research opportunities.

Who runs this database?
